What an incredible welcoming week for our July Quarter which included two new Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) and our Staff Leadership Internship! And what do airplanes, twigs, and postcards have in common you might ask? Each of these hold special significance to the people that have come to participate in the July Pacific & Youth DTS’!
For months, these 14 individuals have been preparing to come to Townsville, Australia for a life-changing adventure. Now that they have finally arrived, they are jumping in with everything they’ve got! This quarter we are running two DTS’ with two very impacting focuses. One school will be focusing on the Pacific Islands and Indigenous peoples, while the other is focusing on youth culture and the issues we are confronted with daily.
As for the students participating, they are quite unique as well. Out of our 14 students, 11 have flown in from another country representing 9 different nations in total!
