Are you 18-35 years old and want a life-changing missions adventure?

Our Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) will take you into different cultures; you’ll meet new people from all over the world and develop friendships that last a lifetime. Our DTS offers an opportunity that is not to be missed; it is your must-do missions training.

The DTS is the first step into the training streams. Its modular, integrated, 21-week training with classroom lectures, camping, travel and community outreach. This integrated approach enables a fast-paced, faith-building environment for anyone wanting to grow in his or her faith. Our experienced staff will help give you an unforgettable hands on missions experience. We organize everything from transport, lectures, accommodation and meals.

Each year we run a number of quality DTS's and they all have their own unique flavour and focus.

For 50 years, young people have entrusted YWAM to show them the world, helping them to make their dreams a reality. With tens of thousands of young people coming through YWAM each year we have seen people conquer their fears, try something new, have their relationships restored, learn a different language and embrace exotic cultures. Are you ready for a change?

At Reef to Outback we are committed to provide quality training at affordable prices. If you want to cut the cost of your Discipleship Training School even further? It’s easy – all you have to do is enquire when you apply!

Purpose and Outcomes of a DTS

  1. To Gather and Challenge people to worship, listen to and obey God, releasing them (in the context of the DTS) to serve through evangelism, intercession, acts of compassion and other expressions of God's heart for the world, possibly even pioneering new ministries.
  2. To Inspire and Cultivate growth in one's relationship with God resulting in Christ like character, which is based on a solid Biblical foundation, the work of the Holy Spirit and the personal application of Biblical truth, especially concerning God's Character, the Cross and empowering Grace.
  3. To Sharpen one's ability to relate to, learn from and work with people, including those of different cultures, personalities and perspectives.
  4. To further Equip each one to serve God's purposes either in or outside of YWAM Family of Ministries, strengthening a commitment to reach the lost, especially the unreached, to care for the poor, and to influence all areas of society.
  5. To Impart the vision and foundational values of Youth With A Mission International as well as that of the host operating location and to provide information regarding a variety of opportunities for service.
