Our heartbeat at Reef to Outback is helping young people and with over 72,000 young people in North Queensland alone, we’ve got our work cut out for us! While today’s youth are facing incredible challenges, they are also equipped with the most amazing resources and we believe they have a part to play in the world.

Our focus starts here locally in Townsville, extends to the North Queensland region, and beyond throughout Australia, into South East Asia and the South Pacific.

We’ve reached out all over Australia, into Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Indonesia, Irian Jaya, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and more!

Youth Street

Youth Street gets plugged into youth culture through skate, dance, music, sport, art, and media. Every Saturday from 2pm-5pm, we’re hanging out with 12-17 year olds and using fun activities to help mentor their lives. Saturday nights our warehouse comes alive with Youth Street Live where rockin’ bands, x-box, games, and a chill Café are open as a safe place for young people. We also run some awesome camps throughout the year!

AUSLIFE

AUSLIFE is a fast paced, interactive seminar designed for grades 8-12. The goal of AUSLIFE is to get students thinking and talking about relevant life issues: Self Esteem, Goals and Values, and Relationships. The seminars include games, multimedia presentations, talk-to’s, and group discussions. At the core of the seminars students are challenged to evaluate how a relationship with God is relevant in their lives.

Five Star Streets

With melodic rock sounds and a passion for youth and justice, Five Star Streets is the front face of our growing music ministry.

Stable on the Strand

Townsville’s very own Christmas Festival, Stable on the Strand, is a re-enactment of the birth of Christ. Our beach (“the strand”) comes alive with angels, shepherds, animals, and even a baby Jesus. With live concerts, a youth tent, and heaps of activities for the family, Stable on the Strand is the place to be at Christmastime!

Voice for the Voiceless

Voice for the Voiceless is all about helping alleviate gender-based injustices. From prostitution and slavery to genital mutilation and abuse, hurtful issues invade the lives of many. Our desire is to engage the hearts of people to pray and to act to see these injustices eradicated and to re-ignite hope in the hearts of those who have been broken.

Impact World Tour

Impact World Tour invades cities with energy packed programs by three talented teams: GX International, Team Extreme, Island Breeze. IWT aims to deliver a relevant Gospel message to every person, every nation and every generation.

Mission Adventures

Mission Adventures is the ultimate missions experience for youth and young adults… and the ultimate resource for youth leaders, teachers and principles. Our motto is “We do the work. You do the ministry.” Our experienced staff will set up everything for your trip – food, accommodation, transportation, ministry opportunities, and training. All you need to do is show up with your group and get ready to watch your group’s hearts come alive as they engage their faith.

Impact Summer

Imagine a group of 12-17 year olds coming together on their school break just to help out in the community. That is what Impact Summer is all about and every year we get a heap of champs participating! We combine training, crazy games, and the camp experience with awesome opportunities to help out around the community and also participate in Townsville’s Stable on the Strand.

Wednesday Night Barbeque

Every Wednesday Night for dinner, we put on a BBQ and invite our friends from around town for Aussie “snags” (sort of like hot dogs) and “rissoles” (sort of like hamburgers). Cost is a gold coin donation and we start at 6pm. We’d love to have you along to see who we are and what we do.

Community Volunteering

We love to get involved in our local community here in Townsville. Whether its through random acts of kindness or partnering with our City Council for events like the Pioneer’s Luncheon, ANZAC Day, and School Holiday programs, you’ll often find us Reef to Outbackers out and about in the community. People usually notice us for our big smiles, black polo shirts, and funny accents.
