Tax Deductibility for Donations / Payments for Staff & Students

Youth With A Mission - Reef to Outback is a non-profit incorporated association. However, under the Australian tax system, donations or payments made to staff and students are not tax deductible. If you are from another country and would like to find out if your donation or payment is tax deductible under your country’s tax system, we recommend that you talk to your tax accountant.


Tax Deductibility for Donations to the Ministry

Donations to the ministry may be tax deductible, as outlined below. Please note that in order to obtain tax deductibility, your donation must be made using the method stated.
**Online donations made via the YWAM Reef to Outback website are not tax deductible.

For Australian Residents

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to YWAM Reef to Outback, you may do so through our Building Fund. Please note that donations made to this fund can only be used for the purchase and maintenance of our training facilities.


To donate:

  1. Make the cheque payable to YWAM Reef to Outback Building Fund
  2. Mail to: YWAM Reef to Outback, PO Box 6221 Townsville, QLD 4810

For US Residents:

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to YWAM Reef to Outback, you may do so through our account with YWAM Tyler Texas.


To donate by check:

  1. Make the check payable to YWAM (please do not put YWAM Reef to Outback anywhere on the check).
  2. Include a note requesting that YWAM make a donation to YWAM Reef to Outback.
  3. Mail to: Accounting Department PO Box 3000 Garden Valley, TX 75771-3000

To donate by Credit Card or Automatic Withdrawal:

For Canadian Residents

If you would like to make a tax deductible donation to YWAM Reef to Outback, you may do so through our account with YWAM BC.


To donate by check:

  1. Make the check payable to YWAM (please do not put YWAM Reef to Outback anywhere on the check).
  2. Include a note requesting that YWAM make a donation to YWAM Reef to Outback.
  3. Mail to: Project Funding, PO Box 57100 Vancouver, BC V5K 5G6

To donate by Credit Card (Visa, Mastercard or American Express):

  1. Go online to: www.canadahelps.org/CharityProfilePage.aspx?CharityID=s36116 . Click “Donate Now.”
  2. Complete your donation details. Note: In the “Fund/Designation” section, leave the default option selected. In the “Message/instructions” section, write that your donation is for YWAM Reef to Outback.
  3. Follow prompts to complete your donation. A tax receipt will be issued by Canada Helps.
