About Me:
My name is Casey and I will be staffing my second Primary Health Care School!!! I am one of a few staff who did not do my dts here at RTO. I did my dts in 2006 in Tauranga, New Zealand with Marine Reach. Meaning I did my dts on a ship! :) Then in 2008 I felt God stirring my heart to continue in health care. So I did the first ever Primary Health Care School here at RTO. I loved it so much that I stayed on and joined staff. And more recently I have been working with Hannah with the medical side of the ship tour that will be happening in 2010.

Community Development week!

This is going to be really short so I apologize in advance. But this week we have David Skeat from Tasmania speaking on Community Development. He is the director of ARMS and works with the ywam base in Melbourne. It's been a great week so far.

And last week we had Kathy Kennedy here speaking on mother and child health and food and nutrition. I love having Kathy, she has such a passion for health care and it's so contagious. One of the days we even had to come to class preganant with the allotte… Continue

Cert IV, Staff training, and so much more!

So this week was the start of the Certificate IV Training in Training and Assessment Phase 2. It is quite a mouthful to say and I feel like my brain has been overloaded with a ton of information. But this qualification is necessary for those that are staffing and leading schools in Australia. It's a lot of information but will be so useful for when the IPHC (Intro to Primary Health Care) school starts in less than 4 weeks. And I have to say the random activities and games we play during the cour… Continue

hey! Bremerton isn't too far away from Oly, how was your transition from Washington to Australia? I have sort of narrowed it down.. I'm also interested in the Colorado Springs DTS for the reason that it focuses on justice and mercy and they have an outreach that goes to India/Nepal. This whole year I believe God has been putting kids in poverty and human trafficking on my heart. I also have checked out the Byron Bay DTS some. But the two mains ones I've narrowed it down to I would say are you guys and Colorado! So I really need to keep praying about it, and see where God wants me.

Hey Casey! Thanks for asking: I try to be as calm as possible when it comes to people asking me about IPHC and PNG and packing and having a looooong flight, but it doesn't always work ... :) It is really exciting and I'm looking forward to finally get there, get to know people - my staff!! and learn all this new things. I just got an auroscope - it is nice red, small and light - and yeah, I'm thrilled to find out how to use it ;) ...see you soon!
