Have a great trip and enjoy your time in NZ!

Aww I'm glad you had such a lovely time in Devon and the weather wasn't too bad...never mind about the surfing!!!! It must have been FREEEEZING in the water!!!

I love Animal Park!!! Unfortunately there aren't elephants any more but a lion came seriously close to the car which was really good and all the tigers and wolves were out so we got to see them all, it was awesome!!

YAY! We can do lots of cycling then, I love it too!! You must have finished working now...hurray no more Centre Parks!! Enjoy the freedom of no early mornings for the next few days!! How was the shopping trip - did you manage to get everything you needed? I've started packing and, it's not looking good. My case is already nearly full and I've hardly put half the stuff I need in there!! Definitely going to wear a lot on the plane!! Have you started? Or maybe you've finished...you go so soon don't you?! AHHHH!!!!

Oooh, the travel card sounds good..I think my card will work abroad but I need to check! If not, I'll certainly look into that! Mannn, you must be feeling SO excited - 3 days left for you!!!

Well, I hoping Nottingham will let me know in the next weeks whether I've got in so I can sort out accomodation and finance here but it's looking very unlikely so I will leave my parents a detailed list of the accomodation I like and which campus etc and email/UCAS passwords and then email home lots of check they've done it right!!

I'm kinda feeling prepared..I still don't think it's sunk in. I simply cannot wait to arrive in Townsville and finally meet everyone!! EEEEEEK!! You feeling ready?

Oh and if I don't speak to you before you jet off, have a safe flight and LOVELY time in New Zealand and I'll see you NEXT WEEK!!!!

I was talking to my hair dresser yesterday and she was RAVING about scuba diving and snorkling at the Great Barrier Reef too!!! Maaaannn I so want to do it!! YES to Finding Nemo watching before hand!!! And how was Devon? And the surfing?! Did you manage to stand up at all? Was the weather ok for the camping?

Hahaha, I love the monkeys at Longleat although my dad didn't let us drive through..just watched from the side as they ruined everyone elses cars!! Although I have a feeling the monkey place is closed as one of the monkeys got ill from human contact or something like that :( I just want to see the wolves, I love them!!! And maybe bump into Kate Humble and loevly Ben Fogle filming!1

Definitely hit Primark!! I did the other day and got looooots of knee length nice shorts and tank tops etc. And it's good as I don't feel guilty for chucking out cheapy Primark rubbish before we leave Oz to make room for new purchases! If not, an excuse to pop to the mall!! I quite want to rent a bike when we get out there to cycle about :) A travel card? Is it just like a debit card you can use abroad? I'm hoping my card will work abroad...if not I'll look into that! Or travellers cheques..and I chatted to a Vodafone man yesterday who happened to live in Oz for a year and he just recommended to buy a phone card to call people rather than buy a new sim card, but I still mught look into that. So much to do, so little time!!! I just did a HUGE Boots shop with mother to get bits and bobs, my case will be so overweight! I'll wear a lot on the plane!!

Bristol rejected me :( so waiting to hear from Nottingham vet school but that won't be until the end of April. I've got a place at Nottingham for Zoology though so it's all good!!

And how are you feeling about it all with 18 days until we're there?!?! And when do you get to NZ? That must be really close!!

sounds awesome! I was only in Sydney for the airport haha. But this past summer I went with a team from our church to help at the YWAM Mt Isa base for 3 weeks. From what I hear, that was more outback, so im really excited to experience the more tropical side of Australia! =] im a beach person!

Hahaha, I've already tried to look which films are playing - the only definite I could find was Australia!!!! I think I'll just shower and sleep when I arrive in Townsville and then explore otherwise I probably will get lost as I'll be so exhausted!!!! I hope the plane has good food, I just eat when I'm bored on planes!

YES to snorkeling! It's something I've always wanted to do! My animal geekiness will be in its element! I'm not sure whether it's surfy or not..I've never surfed but I'd love to try it if possible!!! Probably end up off the board most the time but it would be SO fun!! Have you ever surfed before?

Yeah, my birthday is in June!! My friends are taking me to Longleat for an early birthday present so now just need to get the relatives to throw me an early party! But I'm really looking forward to having my birthday out there! Beach birthday parties?!

I'm pretty sure they have internet - I think it said in the preparing to come leaflet and I'm probably taking my laptop to contact people and download photos unless they have computers there so you can definitely use mine!!

I haven't looked into the travel insurance yet..but it sounds expensive!!! And I did a huge Primark trip the other day too which despite the low prices still seemed expensive!! Have you sorted clothes and things yet? I'm worried I'll pack all the wrong things!!

It's very cold in England now!! Even though it's sunny, it's freezing!! Bring on Townsville!! 24 days!!!!!

Yep! I volunteered with Soul in Melb when I went, yeah it's probably quite similar. I get into Townsville on the 9th, Fights are all booked and good to go! Yay! DTS should be an amazing replacement and much more!"

Have a great week!

Yeah, saving is probably not a bad idea. At the moment I’m working in accounts and it was definitely interesting to see the hectic week before the due date for outreach fees. I actually have to start saving, too, so that I will be able to go on outreach, too. I also would like to go home in September, so there’s much to save for and believe for.
Outreach teams sometimes fundraise for their particular outreach. They might do car washes or bake cookies but the money mainly comes in through supporters from home. Have you done any fundraisers or asked Christians at home if they would pray about supporting you? I know it’s hard and very humbling but it’s crazy how many people actually want to help if we just have the guts to ask.
Sometimes we have giving times in the DTS and it’s crazy how much finances are raised from among each other, even though everyone is in need. It’s definitely like a “feeding the 5000” story.
