Welcome to Marine Reach Australia

Marine Reach Australia

Since 1990, YWAM's Marine Reach ships have operated in 16 different nations and hundreds of ports throughout the Pacific establishing a long-standing reputation of excellence, integrity and results.

Presently working out of the Pacific Island nation of New Zealand, our vessel, the M/V Pacific Link, with its onboard dental and ophthalmic clinic, is involved in medical ministry and evangelism. In February 2010 the M/V Pacific Link will sail into Newcastle to begin a 16 port Ship Tour of Australia, sailing down to Adelaide and then arriving into Townsville June/July 2010 before embarking on the medical mission's part of the tour.

The tour is broken into two sections.
1. The first section of the Ship Tour of Australia will be to highlight the nation of Papua New Guinea and its needs, as well as the volunteering and training opportunities available for health professionals, businesses, churches, service clubs, schools etc. within both Australia and PNG.
2. The second section of the Ship Tour will be a Medical Mission to PNG after leaving Townsville/Cairns/Torres Strait Islands in July/August 2010.

How You Can Help:
Advocate

Community leaders are actively advocating the project in their areas of influence. Opportunity is available for others who would like to promote this tour in a wide range of spheres - medical, business, education, civic, marine, etc.
Give
From the collection of toothbrushes and eye glasses to individual donations and corporate sponsorships, there are many ways to contribute to the YWAM Australia and PNG Ship Tour and the ongoing work.
Go
Whether a person with special skills or simply with a heart to serve, the tour will be run entirely by volunteers. Short-term opportunities to help are in the following skills: engineering, deck hands, medical practitioners, trades, etc, as well as many areas for those willing to help with anything.

YWAM is a diverse global Christian youth focused movement from many nations, backgrounds, ages and cultures; sharing their faith through meeting practical, spiritual and physical needs, offering training in more than 800 courses and seminars for service in all spheres of society. YWAM currently operates in over 1,000 locations and 149 countries with over 16,000 staff.

Hi Marine reach team,
Very interested in your ministry.
If short term volunteers are still needed next year, I would certainly consider how I could best help with all that you do for others.
I have some good local Townsville contacts, who may be able to also assist.
Bless you in all you do for others.
kind regards
Kevin
