Hello Friends

Time for the big news finally: little Riikka is here!!! She was born on the 20/09/2009 at 9:33 am and she was 3.5kg thats 7 pounds,12 ounces. She was 51.5cm long and she is perfect,

It was a long process, after being induced for 17 hours of strong contractions and not getting very far (5cm at most) we ended up with an emergency caesarian; praise God for medical help, (if we had been somewhere else in the world, it could have ended very differently~possibly both of us seeing our Lord), but with the help of the amazing midwives and constant check ups, we were taken very good care of.

Mum is recovering well, still on pain killers to help with the healing process, New daddy has been busy helping about, making storage shelves, doing the house work and helping with our new little one... Baby Riikka is growing up quickly, she holds her head up, is very alert and has been sleeping though the night (which we have heard is a miracle at this age).

We have been very blessed with the help from both of our family, Ryans parents came to help and visit for a week, and Priscilla's mum and brothers have just got back from the islands and have taken up cuddling and loving our little baby as well.
